Apple Pages How to Make Something One Continuous Page

Hi Hueywen,

Usually, when a PDF is inserted as a printout, each of the pages in the PDF is converted to images and are inserted sequentially (or virtually printed) into your notes. You can quickly remove any page that you don't want by clicking it and pressing the Delete key.

Since you mentioned, PDF do not appear in multiple page but as one continuous page. To investigate the issue, we need following information:

  1. In OneNote, go to the OneNote menu and choose About OneNote, confirm the version and build.
  2. Where have you stored your OneNote notebooks, in personal OneDrive or OneDrive for business?
  3. Please try creating a new notebook and insert the PDF again, see if it still appears as one page.
  4. How did you insert the PDF? Please provide the steps.
  5. Please try using a different PDF, see the result.

Additionally, please try insert the PDF as file printout in OneNote online and see the result.

Thanks,

Neha

One reason for the continuous non-breaking page is, unlike Word, Excel, or even PowerPoint  There is no Page Setup or no print command in Onenote. The way the Mac version is written. It's only to be viewed on the computer, and no provision is made for printing notes.

Hi Hueywen,

When printing the PDF as a printout, do you see the break between the page, as shown below?

If you do not see this break in OneNote desktop client, you may further check by creating a new user account. Sometimes user's information may be corrupted which may affect Office applications. To determine if this is the case, you can create a new user account, and then test an application. T he new user account does not have anything added and OneNote runs from scratch. Here's an article with the detailed steps to create new user account.

Thanks,

Neha

Hi Neha,

My problem is not with printing the notes. The one continuous page is very troublesome for viewing.

Especially I am using it for lecturing, I need to navigate instantly specific pages, and not scrolling up and down on that one continuous page.

Hi Hueywen,

When you insert the PDF as Printout, do you see the break between the page, as I mentioned in my last reply?

Could you please provide a video showing inserted PDF in OneNote? When recoding the video, scroll the OneNote page to show the PDF as a continuous page. You can use quick time to record the video

Hey, I've just resolved this issue with the OneNote extension in Chrome on Mac.

0. Install the OneNote extension in your Chrome.

1. Right click on the extension's icon.

2. Click 'Manage Extensions'.

3. Activate 'Allow access to file URLs'.

4. Open your PDF file in Chrome.

5. Check 'All pages' and 'New note for each PDF page'

6. Clip!

Hi,

I know this question has been asked, but the new Onenote  for Mac did not contain options or advanced...n the file section..

How to solve this problem? Its very inconvenient when I have to jump back and forth for a 300 pages file.

Please help,

Hueywen
